Read below how we worked with a Co/Lo Data Centre on mainland Europe, providing them with Rack PDU’s to allow them to deploy a new server room to a tight deadline and under strict space requirement.
PROBLEM
The customer needed to maximise the number of power outlets possible but could only allow a 1U horizontal space for each of the A+ B power feeds. The power feeds were 32A 230V (7.4kW) for the A+B, so the unit required high quality 10kAC MCB’s, as many IEC 320 C13 possible and 4 x IEC 320 C19, all packaged in a 1U horizontal Chassis. They were also against the clock, with only two weeks to get the racks up and running for their client.
SOLUTION
We proposed a basic unit from our HHD (Horizontal High Density) Range of PDUs. See Technical Drawing below:
The units we provided – 12 x C13 and 4 C19 across 2 branch circuits each protected with a highest quality Curve MCB. The design offered a great balance between available space, the number of outlets and cost-effective deployment.
We were able to meet their technical requirement and deliver the PDU’s within 7 days to ensure it wasn’t the power supply that held their project back.
